Do you know what a probiotic food is?

A probiotic food is food that contains live bacteria. Acidophilus in yogurt was the first probiotic food hailed to helped people who had difficulty digesting milk to be able to tolerate milk better. The specific bacteria used in probiotic food like acidophilus milk is Lactobacillus acidophilus.

A short list of probiotic food choices includes some soft cheeses, yogurt products, sauerkraut and many pickles.

Many people add probiotic bacteria to their food or take it in capsule form. However, it is unclear how well probiotic bacteria work. Lactobacillus GG, one of the newest probiotics, has shown that it can survive processing by the gut and be especially beneficial to the colon. Not all probiotics have shown evidence that they promote better intestinal health. Some studies do show that eating yogurt during antibiotic treatment has been shown in some studies to help prevent diarrhea. It has also been shown to be beneficial in reducing risk of yeast infections in women. This is good.

There are other ways to care for the liver such as eating probiotic-rich foods, regular exercise (walking, yoga or rebounding), and not overeating. Even resting more and napping can help to heal the liver. If the liver is overloaded, toxins build up and eventually the kidneys are left to deal with the problem. With both organs struggling to operate, the liver becomes enlarged.

If you have liver pain, you need something more than probiotics, but it is a good idea to add probiotic food to your diet. They taste good.

Have you ever considered your liver pain could be caused by a liver cysts? It is worth an ultra sound to find out.

Have any of you considered what you feel as liver pain may be caused by a cysts? This would be a good even though the cause of cysts are unknown.

In most cases, liver cysts are benign. A liver cysts is a fluid filled cavity in the liver, and is not a serious condition. When a cysts gets big enough, it can cause pressure in the upper right part of the abdomen. Most can be detected with an ultrasound or CT scan.

If it is a cysts that needs attention, fluid can be drained to relieve liver pain. And no other attention is given it. Occasionally, if liver pain persists, the cysts can be surgically removed with little risk.

It is worth getting a diagnosis, as unidentified pain is always a reason for concern. It is irritating when your concerns are not validated when going to a doctor. Don’t be afraid to ask for an ultra sound. It is your peace of mind at stake. Stress plays a major part in our health or ill-health.

Learn to take care of yourself. Take charge of your own health.

Caffeine and pain relievers are a no no for people with liver problems. New research published in Chemical Research in Toxicology found that caffeine can triple the amount of an enzyme that is responsible for liver damage and failure in most toxic-alcohol acetaminophen interactions.

Ever had one of those terrible migraine headaches? Taking Tynol with Coke use to be the prescribed treatment. But if you have liver problems, new research is proving it to be a deadly combination.

In the October 2007 issue of Chemical Research in Toxicology, University of Washington researchers reported that those who consume caffeine with acetaminophen could be at a higher risk of liver damage.

Acetaminophen often has caffeine added because it enhances the effects of the painkiller. Although previous studies have linked alcohol consumption and acetaminophen to liver damage, this is the first study to link caffeine to the danger.

Keeping up with science’s discoveries has never been more important, as researchers demonstrate that pairing two common items can have devastating consequences to someone with an already compromised liver.

The University of Washington team found that caffeine can triple the amount of a toxic byproduct, N-acetyl-p-benzoquinone imine (NAPQI), an enzyme produced while breaking down acetaminophen. This enzyme is also responsible for the liver damage and failure in most toxic alcohol-acetaminophen interactions.

Acetaminophen poisoning accounts for over 56,000 emergency room visits in the United States each year. Acetaminophen is known to cause liver damage and even acute liver failure.

Reports say you don’t need to stop taking acetaminophens, just don’t take them while drinking caffeinated beverages.

Do you feel swelling, pressure, or dull ache under your rib cage? Have the anyone ever told you the liver doesn’t feel pain? Well, it is true. If the liver is enlarged, it puts pressure on the lung and/or rib cage that causes the discomfort which is transmitted to the brain where the brain tells you there is something wrong in the area of the liver.

Don’t be deceived. The liver doesn’t feel pain, you do. But like anything else, liver pain is needed to let you know when something is going wrong with it.

If liver pain persists, check out other possible problems. The liver cleans up the mess from infected organs, drinking too much alcohol, smoking, over eating, and breathing our toxic environment. We need to pay attention to them.

Love you liver. Maintain it. Detox every few months. There’s never been a need like there is today to help out our livers. When you feel liver pain, address it even if blood tests don’t show liver damage. By the time the tests show damage it is almost too late.

With over 500 other functions of the body depending on the liver, it is vitally important to keep it working properly and washed clean with clean pure water, not bottled, not treated, but clean pure water with the trace minerals back into it.

Don’t ignore liver pain. Remember, there can be many reasons for it, but regardless of the reason, liver pain needs to be addressed.

For more information, leave a comment. I’d be happy to hear from you.

Syndrome X is becoming a buzz work. It isn't as scary as it sounds. Syndrome X is a name put on Insulin Resistance. Insulin is the fat storing hormone and is a big player in the super-sizing of America.

Have you heard of Syndrome X ? It is all the buzz word in Japan right now.

Syndrome X is another name for Insulin Resistance. A BIG reason we are all so fat. And the reason for a Fatty Liver.

Insulin Resistance is the biggest contributing factor of obesity. Abdominal fat is the tattle-tale sign of Insulin Resistance. How do you look? You may need some help, but diabetes and weight gain can be managed. Ultimately, promoting healthy eating habits and an active lifestyle, especially in children, will most entirely prevent NAFLD (fatty liver disease) and Type 2 diabetes.

Fatty Liver in itself is nothing to worry about and will disappear with loss of weight. The best way to test is through a simple blood test to see if liver enzymes return to normal after weight loss. If they do, you can be pretty well sure NAFLD (nonalcoholic fatty liver disease) was the problem. But to be completely sure, only a

only a liver biopsy can tell, which is expensive and intrusive, and generally not worth the risks.

When Fatty Liver is left untreated, it develops into steatohepatitis, a condition where not only fat is accumulated in the liver, but there is inflammation (hepatitis) and liver cell die (necrosis) and scarring (fibrosis) occur. Fibrosis of the liver can then progress to cirrhosis of the liver, which is the last stage of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.

One of the best ways to protect against insulin resistance is to maintain a healthy liver in the first place. Bile that is produced in the liver is what metabolizes fat cells. If the liver is functioning properly, and is not toxic and overworked, it will perform its weight management function efficiently and you wont have to work so hard to keep the lbs off.

Artichoke and Sarsaparilla are a great combination for liver health.

Have A Wonderful Day! Give my best to your Liver.

· · Limit the fast foods you eat. Metabolizing fast foods is very hard on the liver and may contribute to liver pain.

Now for the LONG of it… :

For optimum results when doing any liver treatment and to relieve liver pain or discomfort, drink good water and stay away from pop, alcohol, and caffeine. For every cup of pop, alcohol, or caffeine beverage, drink an equal amount of good water (this is just to counteract the harmful effects) and continue to drink the proper amount of water for your weight. A good rule of thumb is ½ your body weight in oz. i.e. if you weight 150lb, you should drink 75 oz of water every day. This will help flush the liver and often relieves the discomfort. This is water; other drinks don’t count toward your water intake.

If you are not use to drinking that much water, it is advisable to just increase the amount of water you do drink by 4 to 9 oz every other day or so. Listen t your body, your liver and the pain. One slight problem you might encounter is the increase of times you have to go to the bathroom throughout the day. Sorry. This does normalize after a week or two. Your body is flushing out toxins from the liver that it has not had power to flush out before because the water you did have needed to be used to keep the brain and other organs working. I am a real believer in water. —But it needs to be good water. Tap water has way too many pollutants in do your body any good when it comes to cleansing. If you use polluted water to wash out toxins, you are only replacing pollutants!

For optimum results, drink good water and stay away from pop, alcohol, and caffeine. Take the Liver Support on an empty stomach ½ hr before eating. Morning or night is all right, however, I suggest taking it at night because when you are resting is when the body repairs itself best, including the liver.

Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and only healthy amounts of meat. Of course fish is always a good meat choice. A good rule of thumb for a proper serving of meet is about the size and thickness of the palm of your hand. Meat tends to get stuck in a dysfunctional liver and can cause liver pain.

Limit the fats and be careful of the type of fats. Fatty Livers don’t necessarily have liver pain associated with it, but you don’t want to contribute to it either. Olive Oil is a good source of fat and is actually good for your overall health. Substitute it in cooking.

Whole grains are best. Stay away from enriched white flour and sugar as much as possible. No one knows what causes pain of the liver, but refined flours and sugars are never very good for you.

Also, diary products can be hard on a stressed liver. They cause mucus which can contribute to inflammation and swelling. Thus, it seems to reason it could contribute to liver pain.

I’m not a fanatic of eating this way all the time. Your body is an amazing thing and has been designed to with stand a lot of abuse, but when healing, I think this is always a good to go a little easy on the hard stuff.

Hope this helps and is not too lengthy

Here’s to your Liver,

Cindy

PS I truly am convinced of the importance of good clean water. Good Clean Water will do almost as much for your liver to relieve discomfort than the Liver Support. Tap water has way too many pollutants in do your body any good when it comes to cleansing. If you use polluted water to wash out toxins, you are only replacing pollutants! And…Pi-mag water really is different. I encourage you for your own health and comfort of your liver to seriously take a look at this king of water and if you don’t buy it from me, buy it from somewhere else.

Here is a website: http://medadvance.googlepages.com/pi-magwater The reason I like this is it not only that Pi-mag Water purifies the water and is cheaper than bottled water, but it puts back proper trace minerals that your body needs and helps regulate the body’s ph balance, which is another story in itself. There are a lot of other manufactures of this Pi-water. You can look it up on the internet. But, Pi-Mag Water also breaks down the water clusters so the water can move in and out of your body cells easier, thus increasing the effectiveness of the cleansing process. In other words, toxins can be removed more quickly and with less energy, and may also have an affect on ‘liver pain’.

I have been looking over stories from people with liver pain. Liver pain can be caused by so many different reasons, and there are so many reason for liver damage that never produce any pain at all. And the liver is such an important organ for a healthy body that I’ve got to pass on some important information from those who have experienced recovery from liver problems. From Hepatitis C to cirrhosis to abscess and everything in between, it takes more than just a pill to recover.

Have you ever heard of pi-mag water? It is a filtered, alkaline, naturally softened, water copied from the way nature does it. It is important for recovery.

Also, magnetic therapy is very very helpful. To some this might sound far-fetched. To the skeptic it may sound unproven, but listen to this peer-reviewed scientific study found at:

http://www.garynull.com/Documents/magnets.htm#PEER-REVIEWED SCIENTIFIC STUDIES

This double-blind, placebo-controlled study examined the effects of millimeter wave therapy combined with conventional methods in the treatment of viral hepatitis in children. Making use of a “Yav’-1-5,6″ or “Yav’-1-7,7″ device, MW therapy involved 14-15 exposures of, on average, 30 minutes per day at wavelengths of either 5.6 or 7.1 mm.

Results indicated the combined treatment to be more effective than conventional treatment only, leading to a more rapid restoration of liver function. 160

Results of this study showed that the use of magnetic fields was effective in treating patients suffering from viral hepatitis who had previously not benefited from conventional drug therapies. 161

This study examined the effects of magnetotherapy in children suffering from various forms of viral hepatitis. Magnetotherapy consisted of alternating magnetic fields applied to the liver area daily over a total of 10-15 days. Results indicated magnetotherapy led to more rapid and trouble-free recovery.162
